Training
By training people to deal with and prevent hate crime against people with learning disabilities, LSU is helping to make society more inclusive.
Hate Crime Training
Our Learning Disability hate crime training teaches people about what hate crime is, how to report it and how to speak up and stop hate crime. Our sole purpose is stop or reduce disability hate crime from happening.
The training is delivered by paid hate crime trainers who are people with learning disabilities. They are:

We offer:
- Primary and Secondary School workshops (1.5 hour workshop)
- Frontline worker workshops (1.5 hour workshop)
- Workshops for people with Learning Disabilities (6 weeks of 2 hour workshops in Borough of Lewisham, 3 weeks of 2 hour workshops on other London Boroughs)
Workshops to Lewisham schools, to people with learning disabilities, and to Lewisham frontline workers are free. We may charge a fee to schools or colleges outside of Lewisham.
Learning Disability Awareness Training
We are piloting bespoke training about Learning Disability inclusion and accessible communication.
